Halloween Festivities 2013

Reflecting back on our two days of Halloween celebration, the idea of togetherness comes to mind. On a beautiful weather day, we laughed and played outside as a one big happy family. Seeing one another in costumes reminded us yet again, that it doesn't matter what we look like on the outside, it is what is in the inside that matters most- caring and gentle hearts!

We Gathered for a Halloween Tale

Halloween is certainly not all about costumes and candy (although we like both), so Mrs. Mandy made sure to include some group reading in our holiday celebration. We hope that when the children look back at these days, they recall the story time as a special memory!

Themed Pot-Luck Lunch For All to Share

"What's going to work?" "Teamwork!"

We are very fortunate for the efforts of the parents and teachers in the creation of our Halloween lunch. Our collaboration is worthy of a page in a magazine! The children enjoyed the spooky food choices and many tried foods they had never had before!

Our Faces Were Our Canvas

We extended our Halloween festivities in order to include some that had missed the day due to illness. A parent donated face-paint, so we allowed the children to express themselves artistically on something other than paper. Our faces proved to be the perfect canvas for our continued celebration!
